The Google owned VOD style movie rental service will add a premium component to its TV applications on various SMART TV platforms. This feature will be made available first in a select number of European countries. Youtube's initiative in the VOD space has grown with Google's agreements with Paramount Pictures and MGM and other content providers. The service though has yet to make the jump from the computer screen to the TV and other connected home theater equipment.
